Over the past few weeks, we've been cheering on Australian swimming superstar Meg Harris who recently competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Meg swam in three events and has arrived home with 1 gold and 2 silver medals to her name!
In the women’s 4x100m freestyle relay, the quartet of Meg Harris, Mollie O'Callaghan, Emma McKeon and Shayna Jack clocked a time of 3:28.92, securing gold for Australia. This is the fourth consecutive Olympic win for Australia in this particular event, and the second for Meg who made her debut at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Meg was also part of the women’s 4x100m medley relay, swimming in the morning heats and contributing to her team’s advancement to the finals, where they secured the silver medal.
In Meg’s last event, she competed in the women’s 50m individual freestyle winning silver in a personal best time of 23.97 seconds! We're incredibly proud of Meg and all her achievements this year - well done!
